Celebrity Apex was the second ship of the Edge series, a class of cruise ships designed to bring the ocean closer for passengers. This is done through innovative spaces and features. Oceanview's Cafe Buffet has a new, lighter design and a larger space. It can be slow at times but the variety of food available is excellent.
Enjoy the Entertainment
I regret that the cruise lines didn't get to add more entertainment for Apex Cruises before our cruise. Had they, we could've had some wonderful nights out. Eden theatre has been completely redesigned, with four different shows, each featuring a unique theme: Night of Dreams, Night of Arts, Night of Enchantment, and Night of the Year. All of these shows are of a very high standard.
Even the fitness center has been updated, and now features classes as well as the latest equipment. This is a significant upgrade from Edge. And, as with the rest of Celebrity's fleet, you can get a massage or spa treatment while enjoying views of the water.
On the Resort Deck you'll find a variety of fun activities. You can choose from the Magic Carpet that cantilevers 13 stories over the sea, so that you can enjoy dining at sea level and watching the sunset, or the Adults-Only Solarium which offers respite from sun.
You'll love the variety of entertainment choices, which include everything from comedy clubs to live shows. Movies and game show are also available. The resort deck features its own pool. A club is also on board, with laser mazes.
